Today's MMO Report is sad to say that it's missing Casey Schreiner. However, all is well since G4's Morgan Webb has stepped up to take over for Casey as the latter celebrates his 30th birthday.
The first thing to do is the announcement that NCSoft will be shutting down the North American Lineage servers on June 29th. Accounts that were inactive for the 13-year-old video game have been activated and the game will remain free-to-play until the servers shut down.
We now move towards Guild Wars 2, the highly anticipated sequel. This confirms that Lion's Arch - a social hub that was featured in the original game - will be returning in Guild Wars 2. Minecraft Servers
Next up is screen-time for Minecraft. While the game isn't exactly an MMO but it's evident that Minecraft has enjoyed immense popularity in the gaming community. Morgan reports that Minecraft creator Notch is contemplating organizing a Las Vegas launch party... or, a convention tentatively dated for November 11th.
Star Wars: The Old Republic’s Sith Inquisitor trailer was released earlier in the week. Morgan described the class as "the one player character you don't want in a dark alley." It combines elements of both spellcasters and stealth into a force-fueled combination.
We also have a walkthrough of the Ether Saga Odyssey's starting zones, courtesy of Perfect World Entertainment. The free-to-play MMO launched late last month.
