Seven amazing Minecraft creations By Joe Miller Technology reporter
Many of us will have been first introduced to Minecraft when Microsoft announced that it would pay $2.5bn (PS1.5bn) for the company behind the most-loved video game.
For a number of years, an entire community of gamers has been working on the Minecraft universe, creating intricate cyberspace wonders.
Here are seven of our most-loved:
Game of Thrones
Mapmakers WesterosCraft are on a mission to recreate the universe imagined by George RR Martin in the Game of Thrones books and TV series. The goal is to create an opportunity for roleplaying within the fantasy world.
A working 16-bit computer
A Minecraft gamer with the username ohmganesha built a functioning 16-bit computer in just two weeks. A1 HOST The virtual machine comes with 32 bytes of RAM (random-access memory) and the 256 bytes of ROM (read-only memory).
This Cathedral
Patrix the architect of the cathedral, stated that it took him just a few days to build. He added that he had never been to a cathedral in real life.
A working hard drive
Cody Littley's hard drive can hold one kilobyte of information. It may seem like a small amount in comparison to the ordinary discs. However you have to think about the fact that Mr. Littley is an enrolled Texas computer science PhD student, constructed it piece-by-piece.
An entire city
The Aurora City Project artists admit that the project might never be finished. However, the detailed cityscapes prove why. Here are some photos.
All of Denmark
To aid children's learning to read, the Danish government decided to map the entire country on Minecraft. The project was later smashed up, and portions of the landscape were blown up by virtual "dynamite".
A playable guitar
Disco, the creator of Minecraft's cyber-guitar can play 10 open chords of basic quality. A demo is available here.
