It took several months, but Minecraft's The Wild Update is nearly here. Mojang and Microsoft will launch The Wild on all platforms on July 7, and it is as extensive as they claimed. Two biomes have been added to the game including a mangrove swamp as well as an area of "deep darkness" which hides vicious mobs, such as Warden and Shrieker and also special resources. You can also utilize chests to steer in a boat, which means you don't have to carry your supplies when you go through lakes.
The upgrade also includes an dirt block (made by mixing water and dirt, naturally) as well as a crowd-voted collector mob (the allay) and a frog that grows from Tadpoles. It even produces "froglights" in the event that it attacks magma.
Mojang had to rethink their expansion strategy after the initial release. The deep dark biome was originally planned to debut in 2021 but was transformed into The Wild as the developer was unable to handle the size of its two-part Caves and Cliffs Update. It's not unusual that Minecraft intends to keep its game in play for more than a decade. However, the timeline suggests that it might have been a little too eager to please.
