Rings of Saturn began in 2009 as an high school recording project with guitarist Lucas Mann and bassist Peter Pawlak, along with drummer Brent Silletto. After the release of their debut album, Embryonic Anomaly The band began to gain popular. Unique Leader Records signed the band shortly thereafter.
Their second album, Dingir, the band increased to include the vocalist Ian Bearer and bassist Sean Martinez. This album represented a shift in their sound in that it was less focused on chaotic breakdowns, and more on song-structure and writing. The album was well-received, and the group did a great deal of touring to promote the album.
The band's fourth studio album, Lugal Ki En has improved in terms of the production and writing. The album is filled with iconic moments that were brought back to life.
The album showcases a maturing and more focussed Rings of Saturn, which is bound to please reviewers and fans alike. With the addition of new members and an improved production this album is one to check out.
