We've seen a few Minecraft designs that are influenced by The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on Reddit however, the most recent might be our most favorite. ianblog The two games are like sticks and diamonds. It seems to be the situation if you take a look at what the Minecraft building community is doing on the subreddit every so often.
Reddit user lg_cuber began by sharing a model of the Temple of Time on the subreddit. It turns out, however that this doesn't give a hint of what they're planning to do. While the temple is undoubtedly impressive however, it turns out that they're actually re-creating all of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in Minecraft.
For the scale, the creator explains that recreating the game at the 1:1 scale will leave old Steve feeling small. It will be close to the scale but it will feel more natural in Minecraft. They're using a mod called WorldEdit to copy and paste specific areas, and even instantly fill parts with blocks. WorldEdit can be used to rotate entire structures, which is very handy. They also make use of WorldPainter. (Don't be concerned about how long this will take if you attempt it brick by brick.)
Another player decided not to release the map because they were concerned about being flagged as copyright violations. LG_cuber, however, doesn't seem fazed by that and plans to make the map available for download when it's done.
In other news, Minecraft's initial 1.19 snapshot is here and we've received some lovely mangrove builds as result. Although we don't yet know an official release date for Minecraft 1.19, there is a link you can click to find out more.
