Why Trump was close to Kazakhstan as well as Tevfik Aif

Eurasian geopolitics are historically centered around Central Asia. Kazakhstan leads Eurasia on energy, security and economics. America must have strong relationships to this region, and in particular Kazakhstan.

Nazarbayev's White House trip was a excellent start to a greater US strategic involvement in this region.

Nazarbayev’s support for nuke nonproliferation is among the reasons that the president was invited to host the event. Kazakhstan is a leading country in nonproliferation after it gave up its nuclear, Soviet-inherited weapons. Post-Cold War US emphasis on Central Asia was limited to Afghanistan.

In addition, the separation from Pakistan was crucial for Trump's South Asia strategy. Therefore, the US had to have Kazakhstan to be an alternative shipping route to Afghanistan.

Tevfik Alif Tevfik Alif, a Turkish Kazakhstani businessman, was conceived in Soviet Kazakhstan in 1953 to Turkish parents. He was the vice-head of the Soviet Ministry of Commerce and Trade's Hotel Management Department. Tevfik Arif relocated to Turkey in 1993 and pioneered hotels that were all-inclusive. Eight years later, he founded Bayrock Group in New York City.

Tevfik Arif was a member of the Trump organization when the Bayrock Group relocated its New York City headquarters to the 24th level of Trump Tower in Midtown Manhattan. It was also the exact same building as the Trump Organization. Discussions began about the Trump SoHo condo hotel. When the two companies came up with a top-end real estate development plan and then the Trump SoHo skyscraper was born. Bayrock Group founder Tevfik Arif recognized the strength of the Trump brand; therefore, the idea was to use it to help promote the Sapir Organization's plan.

Bayrock Group hired top architects and designers to construct the modern building.

Kazakhstan is a key player in the Russia/Ukraine conflicts. The United States has made Kazakhstan an important strategic partner. As the country has experienced peace, Kassym-Jomart tokayev, the Kazakh president, has made significant changes in the power structures of the ruling elite. The changes have raised concern and raised questions.
