one night wakes up, sees shadow, follows it to door, turns on lights, sees door is open just a crack, goes bak2sleep
next day, goes to old woman, give her stone for protection tehn thru through door when bored (mother's out, grabs keys)
enters world were animals can speak, world is similar, but slightly different. parents were different, button eyes, crazy man had rats, older women were young. parents wanted her to live with them forever, and tried sewing on black buttons on her eyes to make her stay forever. coraline refused, then went "home."
went home, parents missing for an day, and the two older women were visiting ms spink's niece
went back when parents still didnt arrive
parents greeted her, but she was angry and asked where her parents were, believed her "other" parents were stolen
she decided to go explorin, cat companion tells her the parents were either lonely of hungry and created the world to lure her in for someone to love
she went far out and saw the mothers work getting less and less realistic, the rats were spies, then discovered she went in a circle and came back home
the mother was telling her she was being a bad daughter
coraline did not want her to love her and the mother locked her inside a mirror
in the mirror she found 3 other children, now without souls, locked up, and they decide she needs to get out, before she sleeps, something whispers look in the stone
she makes a deal with the mother, claiming she can find her loved ones and keep em, she makes a deal and she soon finds 3 marbles containing the souls of the 3 dead children
