People think she is a person with an attitude. So, she has to strive to avoid being any of those things without being viewed as too docile or weak. She is also seen as dependent and weak.

Black women are subject to racial discrimination as well as gender bias.

They are often treated unjustly when it comes to attending training and getting promotions. As a result they can't reach the top of their profession.

They're often not able to stop it, which is why it becomes a battle that is war-torn.

Lizzie Damilola Blackburn captured a portion of this prejudice in her book, Yinka, Where is Your Huzband?

In collaboration in collaboration with LeanIn.Org McKinsey examined the representation of women in The Women in the Workplace 2021.

The study included all types of women, including women of color and those with disabilities.

The research has shown that films with male producers tend to include greater than 70% male creative team members. The same goes for female producers which typically include 60% males in their teams of creatives. No matter what perspective you choose the men will always be in key creative positions.

A stereotype is defined in the Merriam Webster Dictionary as a standard mental image that a particular group of people has of the other. It is a simplified view of a preconceived notion, an attitude that is prejudiced, or an insensitive judgment.

Stereotypes can cause false perceptions of a person or group because they are misleading.

In the film and TV industry, women aren't offered equal opportunities.

If they do get the role, they are more likely to be portrayed as strong and independent.

James Bond's films, for instance, depict female characters as victims, damsels in distress and the poor.

In the majority of cases, women aren't portrayed as their true selves through the play of characters.

This is a result of the absence of female filmmakers, specifically women of color, who are able to convey the true story of women.

There is also the issue that censorship is a problem when it comes to exposing "taboosubjects like sexual harassment, rape, and sexual assault.

Women are often instructed to keep taboo subjects out of the spotlight in conservative societies. Netflix is not one of the handful of platforms that allows women access to taboo topics.

Stereotyping can cause many negative effects.

It can influence self-esteem, decision-making ability, and mental well-being. It can cause self-stereotyping , which occurs when an individual begins to act in a certain way in order for them feel like they are part of the group.

Arzu Aliyeva believes that diversity is crucial.

The Push for Greater Online Diversity
In February 2020, the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) College of Social Sciences released a report - Holywood Diversity. The report examined the relationships between diversity in Hollywood and the overall diversity of the university.

It looked at the top films at the global cinematograph between 2018 and the year 2019. It examined the participation of women and other individuals of color before and behind the camera.

The magazine also announced positive news that females had made substantial advancements in the film industry.

But, they're underrepresented in key areas like studio heads director, film leads and actors as well as film writers.

A significant issue arises when women, especially women of color are consigned to the background of TV.

Women of color are expected to work twice the effort to reach more prestigious positions at work than their white counterparts. They'll also have to deal with gender biases as well as microaggressions and other issues.

The friend had been with her for six (6) years. But, her boss didn't even recognize her name. She was required be identified with a name tag as her colleagues of color were not allowed.

It also highlighted positive news that females had made notable advancements in the film industry.
