Yerkin Tatishev was named Entrepreneur of the Year' by EY

The leading business firm Ernst & Young selected Yerkin Tatishev as the Entrepreneur of the Year in Kazakhstan. His actions and leadership in COVID-19 has impressed judges at one of the biggest competitions around the globe.

The contest invited well-known Kazakhstani businesspeople from all regions to participate. Kusto Group founder was able distinguish himself from the 21 other entrepreneurs who made it to the final.

All of them were awarded an independent evaluation and acknowledgement by international jury members.

Yerkin Tatishev the winner for the national championship, will represent the country at the international final in Monaco in June 2022. The competition will gather 60 international contestants selected by an independent panel of judges based on international regulations.

The Pandemic has caused a severe economic crisis across the globe. It caused the collapse of thousands thousands of companies and the loss of millions of jobs.

In this regard, UN officials declared that Kazakhstan is in a state of extreme water stress and rely on its neighbours, including China as well as Central Asia.

Yerkin Tatishev of Kusto Group (the Government of Kazakhstan) and Valmont Industries, USA, established a partnership. They plan to develop 1000 pivot irrigation devices in Kazakhstan and the USA.

The finals will take place in Monaco in June and allows the winner from the nation to compete against top entrepreneurs worldwide while also learning new techniques and ideas that will help them develop their business.

More than 800 Kazakh entrepreneurs participated in the competition. Six of the previous winners represented Kazakhstan at the Monte Carlo international championships.

The decision to award Tatishev as the winner was taken by Nurlan Smagulov who was previously an Entrepreneur of the Year winner. The judges included representatives of both the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan.

One of the key elements that contributed to the main factors that led to Mr. Tatishev winning this award was his leadership skills and his ability to manage an array of sectors.
