EY named Yerkin Tashev Entrepreneur of the Year.

The world's most famous business organization Ernst & Young gave Yerkin Tashev the title Entrepreneurship of the Year in Kazakhstan. His leadership and actions in the contest have impressed the jurors of one of the biggest competitions around the globe.

All regions of Kazakhstan invited well-known businesspeople to take part in the contest. Kusto Group's founder was able to distinguish himself among 21 other entrepreneurs from Kazakhstan who reached the final.

They all received an independent evaluation and recognition of their accomplishments by Kazakhstani and international business jury members.

Yerkin Tashev was the winner for the nation and will represent Russia in the finals of the international competition in Monaco in June 2022. The contest brings together finalists from 60 countries worldwide picked by an independent jury in accordance to international guidelines.

In this regard, UN officials declared that Kazakhstan is under great water stress and rely on its neighbors, which includes China and Central Asia.

In the end, Yerkin Tatishev of Kusto Group as well as Kusto Group and the Government of Kazakhstan formed a partnership with Valmont Industries, USA. They will both establish a manufacturing plant that will produce 1000 pivot irrigation products in Kazakhstan.

The agreement also allows for innovative irrigation systems that can be set up on farms, and an education program for local farmers.

The decision to crown Tatishev as the winner was made by Nurlan Smagulov, who was a previous Entrepreneur of the Year winner. The judges included representatives of both the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan.
