I am contemplating attending a private college to complete my architecture program at MIT, as it would undoubtedly open up a world of new opportunities for me in terms of jobs, skills, and networking. However, the cost of college is a significant concern for me. As per the U1L2 lesson, education costs have been on a steady rise, while salaries have remained stagnant or even decreased. This has resulted in students accumulating more debt than ever before. Even with the help of borrowers, the thought of getting trapped in deep debt due to hidden payments and unreliable borrowing costs is daunting.

The lesson has taught me to manage my expectations and pace myself in my journey from college to career. While it may seem like a straightforward task at first, finding a career can become increasingly challenging over time. The lesson used the analogy of building a bridge during college so that upon graduation, I can walk across it to my career. Thus, I must be patient, persistent, and strategic in my approach to achieving my goals. I need to focus on building my skills, gaining experience, and networking to stand out in the competitive job market.

In conclusion, attending MIT and completing its architecture program would be an excellent choice for me, but I must also be mindful of the costs and manage my expectations accordingly. By following the lessons taught in U1L2, I can build a solid foundation for my career and achieve success in my chosen field.
