The long-awaited return of My Chemical Romance the UK was last week, and with it came new merchandise. The designs on the t-shirts and hoodies as well as other items are reminiscent of their millennial origins. They have the iconic MCR stamp which was once popular on Tumblr. Certain of the merchandises feature the word SWARM while others showcase pictures of Flies. There is speculation that the band could be ushering in a new era of their career through this SWARM campaign, possibly tying into their recent single 'Decay Foundations'.
MCR co-founder and lead vocalist Gerard Way first founded the group after witnessing the 9/11 terrorist attacks. According to PPCorn, the events of 9/11 altered his life for ever and gave him the drive he needed to create his own group. Along drummer Frank Iero and bassist Mikey Way, founded the band in the year 2001.
In the years following the release of The Black Parade, the group began to tour. The band released Life on the Murder Scene which was a live DVD and DVD album in the year 2005. The album has three music videos and two fan interviews. The group released a non-official biography DVD in 2006, titled Things that make you go MMM.
The Danger Days merch collection includes Party Poison, Fun Ghoul, Jet Star and Kobra Kid's famous masks. It also features t-shirts, bags keys chains, lanyards and key chains. Recently my chemical romance merch was announced that a Danger Days makeup set was added to the collection.
