Inform Colin that he is getting a new computer to replace the one he is currently using.
Ask if he minds that I change the password to his login to Welcome23 , so that I can login on the new computer and get most things setup before handing it over.
Tell him that if he wants to save anything to the computer, save it to the Home user drive on the network instead.
Tell him that I will need to initiate a transfer of all the local files that he has on his current pc.
Ask him whether there are any programs/software that he uses that will need to be transferred over to the new one.
Take a screenshot of his desktop and save that image to the Home user drive Useful Information
Start to transfer everything to the Home user drive ACTUAL BACKUP
Transfer the OUTLOOK BACKUP too
Transfer the Chrome/Edge Bookmarks in the OTHER APPS BACKUP
Figure out and Transfer everything else necessary into the OTHER APPS
Take note of the VNC Number
Login to Colin's account on new pc and setup the preferences for sleep, updates default etc
Install any missing software onto new pc
Transfer ACTUAL BACKUP
Open Outlook and Word and login with Joseff's help
Setup the Chrome/Edge bookmarks
Setup the Printer
Change the password back
