The SPEAC System has been shown in a clinical study to be the fastest GTC seizure alarm on the market--alarming within 5.3 seconds of a potential GTC seizure event. Pressure sensor mats that are placed under your mattress can detect abnormal movements that may happen during a seizure. They send a video feed to your phone and an alarm sounds if an unusual movement is detected.
Seizure Alarms Other devices can be worn on your finger and measure changes in heart rate or blood oxygen levels that may happen during a seizure. These devices can also help people identify if they are having a seizure by sending an alert to emergency contacts set up in the app.
Some of these devices can be expensive, especially if you need more than one. Some organizations have grant programs to help with the cost.
Embrace2
The Embrace2 is a wristwatch worn device that has a sensor that detects and alerts for tonic-clonic (convulsive) seizures after 20 seconds, as well as monitors rest and activity. It transmits data to a paired smartphone via Bluetooth and can send an alert for a seizure through a text message or phone call.
