Since their first appearance on the abattoir stage in 1999, this group has become a popular choice by fans. Terrasite is their ninth full-length album. It marks a departure for the more melodramatic style of death metal they played in the past. Instead, Terrasite features a sharply written narrative with a focus on social commentary.



It's great that Terrasite isn't what many were expecting. The band has simply developed their sound and put out songs that hit with such intensity that makes you want to smash out of your own eyes. The snarling, catchy choruses that were such a hallmark of their last record are still in place and on the forefront of a lot of songs, including the anthemic destruction of "Terrasitic Adaptation" as well as the brutal and cynical roar of "...And the The World Will Continue Without the Love of You" which includes one of the most impressive performances by lead vocalist Travis Ryan, who is capable of conveying a complete range of emotions -- from anger to grief- over chugging riffs and blast beats.


What stands out most on the album however most is the epic cinematic presentation of the end-of-the-world story. A lot of death metal bands do not have this feature, since they're more focused on the technical aspect and sheer strength rather than a grandiose large-picture vision of the apocalypse.
