Dosis yang disebabkan oleh takaran yang memberikan efek positif misalnya menyembuhkan. Dosis ini terbagi menjadi:

• Dosis minimum dan maximum
Takaran terkecil dan terbesar dimana suatu zat masih bisa memberikan efek bagi tubuh diantara jarak kedua dosis ini terdapat dosis terapi. Yaitu takaran zat yang digunakan untuk menyembuhkan pasien. (Dosis terapi tiap orang bisa beda-beda tergantung kondisi tubuh pasien.)
