We need to implement a recurring job for sending email notifications (reminders) to users about available vacation days.

We already have a recurring job CloseWeekNotificationService, that is responsible for sending notifications about not closed weeks. We use Hangfire – Background Jobs for .NET and .NET Core to implement it.

First of all, we need to implement a base class for all notification jobs (recurring jobs) - use example in attachment.
Then you need to rewrite CloseWeekNotificationService to inherit from that class and rename it to CloseWeekNotificationsJob.


Then you need to create a new job that is responsible for sending email notifications about available vacation days - AvailableVacationDaysNotificationsJob.


The settings for each job should implement IRecurringJobSettings interface. Also, the settings class should correctly implement Equals and GetHashCode methods, so that the LoadSettings method that tracks the update of settings would work correctly. Google for “c# compare object equality“.


The settings for AvailableVacationDaysNotificationsJob should include CronExpression property that sets the sending schedule - (https://crontab.guru/).


Also, you need to change the edit-notification-settings.vue component. Create two separate tabs - one to edit settings for CloseWeekNotificationsJob and one to edit settings for AvailableVacationDaysNotificationsJob.
