Most weeks we release early versions of Minecraft updates to test out new features, smooth out wrinkles, and eliminate bugs before they're released to a wider audience. It's a great opportunity for gamers like you to experience the new features we're working on, before it officially launches!
If you're excited by the possibility of discovering new things and don't mind when you encounter bugs, consider the platform you prefer.
Be aware:
These versions are by nature somewhat unstable, and things could be a bit odd or wacky, or just plain incorrect.
You could lose your game, or the things you have built could be corrupted. This is a small risk, but it's still an opportunity to take a risk!
These versions don't have access to Realms or Featured Servers, and they can only play in multiplayer worlds alongside other players on the same version of the game.
