Yesterday was the 9th birthday of my son! NINE!! !



A Minecraft Party was requested. It is easy to search for other people's ideas and then create one. So I went to this site and made this board. Sunny By Design had many amazing things. Here's my tribute to Minecraft Party..



Creeper juice. The tiny Chubby drinks. Paper ripped off and faces put on.



Torches= twisted pretzel sticks. I could have dipped them into red melted chocolate but time was running out. The slime balls were intended to be green jello squares but they were left in my fridge. The zombie boogies were actually wasabi beans!



Sorry for the blurry photo below. I began making tiny TNT bundles, then decided to not, and placed them in glasses instead. My favorite part of the party was when I said," there are still plenty of vegetables and fruits left. If you don't want to eat them now I'm going to put them in your loot bags!" There was a huge shush to the table and food was being consumed. :



The cake was actually an actual brownie. I wanted to leave the edges uniced and I thought the brownie would be less spongy. The icing was a Fluffy Boiled Frosting. It was not sweet at all. We had made too many cakes so I made meringue puffs. They went home with them too.



Here's what I learned To make meringue, beat your egg whites, heat oven to 350 degrees Add them to the oven, then turn off the oven, and allow to cool. Simple to make.



The signs and grass leaves were from a Sizzix dies. The old ones, the large honkin', thick ones. It is possible to do it in the cuttlebug by using a B plate at the bottom and top. Don't use the A plate the entire. We hired the local arena to let loose some party energy.



We go to general skating at least once per week. this boy has made a huge leap in the last few weeks. He even looks like a skater now!

Loot bag time!



And the loot inside. I don't like giving out loot bags filled with tiny things. So I gave handmade creeper cookies that took two days, and a trip to the local bakery to put ice (Thanks Flying Fox) and a CD of Minecraft Parodies. I searched for the title on You Tube and gave it to my husband to do his magic. Then I gave him a few other snacks.



It's over with the birthday celebration! (paper characters)



It was great fun!



Edited May 8: Wow, you are probably in a reading frenzy for minecraft party ideas.What we would not do for our children. As of this moment, I've had close to 10,000 hits on this article. In my world, that's a lot. People have been pinning my creeper juice bottles like mad. Minecraft Servers Awesome. Take a look at my sidebar. 13 followers. It makes me feel uneasy.
