Inanimate to inanimate transfiguration adalah istilah yang di pakai untuk menjelasakan praktek tentang transfigurasi paling sederhana, dalam subjek ini pemantra mengubah objek nya dari benda mati ke benda mati lainya, seperti korek api menjadi jarum, garpu menjadi pena atau benda tak bernyawa ke benda tak bernyawa lainnya. seperti boneka.

Dalam musik, kata ini berarti dinamika yang artinya mendapatkan secara bertahap dengan lembut. Namun dalam bahasa modern, kata ini berarti 'Menyusut' atau 'Menjadi tidak ada'.
