While it's possible to make a formidable deck of Clash Royale cards, it's very easy to lose the game fast. This is because the progression of the game relies on the Trophies obtained by winning battles.





Arena levels also affect chest rewards. These are gold gems, diamonds, and character cards which players get to beat their opponents. When a player is moved to an Arena that is lower the chest rewards are more limited, making it hard to move up without purchasing expensive items in the game.
