Similarly, the electrically-operated glass sunroof and champagne cooler that incorporated hand-blown and hand-cut lead crystal bottles marked a new benchmark in luxury and innovation.

It is this bespoke design, quality and attention to detail that have established Bentley as the world's most desirable automotive brand. The firm continues to push the boundaries by utilizing the most advanced technology and craftsmanship, including the introduction of an instrument cluster that is digital and an electric tilt-opening rear glass sunroof, an artisan-made docking station for Apple iPads, and electrochromic 'smart' glass that can be switched from opaque to transparent with the push of a button.

Bentley celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2019, one hundred years after it was founded. The marque, currently owned by Volkswagen independently following years of dispute with BMW, had planned a series of special launches and events to mark the occasion. Design

Each key takes two days to create. The key is cut by hand, then shaped, sewed to seal, and polished to give a superior result. It is strong small and compact, and it fits the Bentley key perfectly. Its design is similar to the Volkswagen Phaeton's huge car key, but it feels more substantial and luxurious.

It also has Secure-A-Key which prevents theft of keys with no key. This device is put inside the remote-control key fob and will shut it off after a few minutes of inactivity. This prevents thieves from transmitting the key's frequency to other devices that are able to unlock and start the vehicle.
