Fit for an Autopsy Merch
The New Jersey based deathcore/groove metal group known as Fit for an Autopsy summon one of the most brutal renditions of the genre. The Great Collapse is their fourth album, which explores socially conscious topics without resorting into fantasy-based nonsense or cliched gore terror. The band aims to be better musicians by placing the most effort into their music.

Puzzle

In a genre that often isn't able to get misanthropy right, Fit for An Autopsy is among the most nihilistic band on the circuit. Their most recent album, Oh What the Future Holds includes everything from bumblebee sonic triplets to the highest level of drumkit intricacy to a distorted sound that resembles the sound of a phantom.

Guitarist Will Putney doesn't get the praise he deserves for his work as a songwriter, but his lyrics are just as powerful as the band's jackhammer sonics. The band conveys the woes of mankind in vivid details without resorting into fantasy bullshit and cliched gore horror.

The New Jersey band, after making their debut album, caustic The Process of Human Extermination in 2011, secured an enviable position in the extreme metal forefront of the new era with their second album Hellbound. After that, with 2015's Absolute Hope Absolute Hell, the group established their status as a true modern emerging force in the deathcore. And with 2019's The Sea of Tragic Beasts They took their concept to the next level.

Backpack

Like a burger joint can add salads and other items to its menu without changing its original sounds, bands can do similar things. Fit to be an Autopsy is in the middle of this liminal area at the moment, and their sound has evolved since 2015's Absolute Hope Absolute Hell.

New Jersey's ingenuity is expanding the limits of deathcore with each release. They've moved away from the classic grind to a sound that is more broad. Will Putney, the producer's work, and the teamwork of the band are both important. With sultry, clean vocals that float over massive riffs to neoclassical solos erupting from gravity blasts, this is a broad spectrum extreme metal that raises the bar for what's next.

Oh What The Future Holds is a career-defining album for Fit For An Autopsy, in that it combines all they've learned up to now and pushes further still. From bumblebee triplets, to the highest point of the kit intricacy, every crushing song and chugging riff here hits like a freight train.

Poster

Fit for the occasion, Autopsy is a landmark career album featuring the frank and stimulating Oh What The Future Has. The band reexamines the basic principles of deathcore, the New Jersey innovators pushed beyond the norm of what they could expect from themselves. The slam attack utilized emotive concepts, technical excellence and melodic textures.

The crushing and breakdowns of the guitar sounding riffs remain however they've been accentuated. This is due to esteemed producer Will Putney and the bands determination to deliver a tight metal sound to their fans.

From the very beginning of the album with "Hellions" with its uncompromising technicality until the enigma-like final track of the title it's clear that this is a new standard for modern barbarism. The album is a blend of force-fueled metal along with an atmospheric groove as well as personal diatribes that are enthralling to create an immersive experience for the listener. It is deathcore at its purest form. Do not miss this opportunity to catch the sonic attack live.

Fit For An Autopsy Mug

Since the release of their self-titled debut in 2008, Jersey City based FIT FOR AN AUTOPSY has developed one of deathcore's most crushing versions of extreme metal. The band's music is free of political rants and cliched gore terror. Instead, it blends massive force-driven Death Metal and atmosphere-infused groove.

With the band's sixth album, Oh What The Future promises, FIT FOR AUTOPSY continue to challenge themselves as artists and grow as human beings. Socially conscious themes are once again front and center as Joe Badolato looks into more about his own issues and struggles in a more open and vulnerable manner.
