Kendrick Lamar is making it easier than ever to get merch from his sold out Big Steppers Tour. On Pglang Merch (Sept. 26), the DAMN. rapper tweeted his followers a link to the pglang merchandise, the online store that sells the clothes worn by the rapper's sold out world tour. The merch is available in long and short-sleeve t-shirts along with hoodies and caps that feature designs from the rapper's sold out concert pieces.
The "multilingual creative firm" pglang, which was founded by Lamar producer Dave Free and other artists, blurs the line between music, art and fashion. The site was founded by the duo in early this year, but with little fanfare. They only revealed a logo and website, including teasers with the creators like dance artist Mecca Allah and music star Baby Keem. In spite of their elusive launch the company has managed to land an array of video-based campaigns in collaboration with Calvin Klein, including a new set of eight short films starring artists and influencers like Keem, Travis Bennett, Ryan Destiny, positivity influencer Amber Wagner, R&B singer Brent Faiyaz and comedian vlogger Exavier.
The videos range from hilarious to enthralling to dark and are far from the polished fashion content that normally defines the sartorial brand. The makers of these short videos, be it Keem and his sister trying to identify the distinction between a girlfriend and a homegirl, or Keith Powers frozing his jeans after reading an article on the way they fight bacteria, don't look at their clothes or themselves too seriously.
