Mitski Merch releases new album "Laurel Hell".
Mitski's career has seen her go through many heartbreaks. She has also brought good news to many, such as sold-out concerts and a loyal following. In the midst of that, she's had to learn to manage a variety of people's perceptions "Laurel Hell" is her most honest ever about the ways in which this could be a trap as well as an opportunity.


In the vein of Bury Me At Makeout Creek and Puberty 2, this new album features acoustic driven tunes, minimal drumming and a haunting quality to the vocals. The album is more direct and raw than the previous two, Mitski revealing that she "got really tired of feeling as if I was being sucked into, bought and then sold."



It's also her most diverse and complex album to date, and features the twangy whiplashes that have created her previous albums to be memorable and diverse. The record is often tranquil and intimate, however there are some moments of cinematic splendor. Take, for instance, "Heat Lightning", that explodes into a fluttering of piano keys, or the synth-pop track "Free the Cowboy" that explodes with guitars and skyscraping sound.
