The updated version is a great update to the earlier seven" Dancing Clown Pennywise release from NECA! This new version sports an even darker color scheme that really highlights its intricately sculpted Pennywise. This is an enormous improvement over previous versions and is one of my favorites!
Pennywise Costume as you recall, is an evil shape-shifting monster that terrorizes Derry, Maine. It lures children to its dimension by assuming the form of a clown, and draws on the fear these children feel. It can assume any form it chooses, usually in response to its victim's most intense fears.
Bill Skarsgard was a great choice for the role of clown in the movie and the character portrays him as he is most recognized from the movie. Three different heads are available which include the typical expression as well as the creepy lip curl. The monster model is also available, with the final head showing jaws of aliens and an uncomfortable smile.
One of my favourite aspects of this figurine is it has an interchangeable balloon. It is stunning when placed in Pennywise’s hand. The ballon has a bendy wire string, which makes it appear like it's floating in the air between two fingers clenched. It's a nice detail which adds to the realism of the figure.
NECA has also included a variety of effect parts. It's possible to display Pennywise with his iconic red balloon and the figure also comes with a paper boat which has broken by Georgie. The boat adds a lot of versatility to the figurine. It's also a great opportunity to showcase the figure with Pennywise's Deadlights effect, since you can see the lights shining through the hole in the boat.
This figure comes in a window box for collectors that opens. This figure is an excellent model of Pennywise the clown who made a generation fear clowns. It's a must-have for those who love the miniseries as well as the film. This figure is available in local toy stores as well as on the internet.
