Update is coming soon, we have started receiving weekly snapshots. However, things aren't as they seem. This snapshot contains many of the features that will be added in the minor 1.19.3 update. In a different blog article, the development team outlined that they plan to release minor updates more frequently and usually during the process of building the major ones.



We'll cover everything in this overview so you can jump in and play around with Minecraft Java Edition.





Experimental features





The main reason for the update process is that 1.20 features will be mixed in with the 1.19.3 features. The developers have added an experimental feature switch to the menu. This will make it easier. These toggles will allow you and the developers to turn incompatible features off of the "data pack" menu. This creates a new world that lets users test and modify potentially incomplicate features without having to remove them in official updates.





1.20 Features





At Minecraft Live, all of the major features of update 1.20 were announced. Hanging signs, bookshelves with chiseled edges and bamboo wood are but some of the features that were announced. Creative inventory changes





If you're not sure of everything in Minecraft the creative inventory can be confusing. This update is expected to make the experience a bit nicer. The tabs have been redesigned to keep the same types of blocks together. For instance, instead of listing every kind of log of wood, then every plank of wood it will now show every "oak" item, followed by "birch", and so on.



Furthermore, items that fit into different categories will now be displayed in multiple tabs instead of being pushed into only one. Hanmayou Of of course, if you don't want to do any of that, the search bar remains there.





New wood sounds





A nice addition is now added to all the different types of wood, since they'll now make various sounds when they are broken, placed in a place, or stepped on. They are divided into three categories: nether, overworld, and bamboo. This goes a step further to differentiate different kinds of wood and provide a little audio variety to the Minecraft world.





Bundles





This feature was originally scheduled for The Wild Update was finally brought back as an experiment. These simple storage solutions allow you to store various items of different types in one inventory slot. You can fit up to 64 items in. While it doesn't add to the amount of inventory you have, it won't allow you to organize it better or to collect items you have only the smallest amount of. This feature has been mostly ignored since it was eliminated. To enable it in the game, you'll need to click the button.
