Just in time the beta test for Microsoft's Augmented Reality Minecraft game is now available for Android users to give it a the test. Similar to the beta version that iOS users have had access to, Minecraft Earth is still invite-only for registered testers and only available in five cities: Mexico City, London, Tokyo, Seattle and Stockholm. If you're unable to access the invite email, use the link on your mobile device rather than using a computer.
The Minecraft Earth beta recently reset its AR playing field and updated to version 2.0.0 on iOS. Crafters Earth reports that has introduced familiar mobs such as creepers and spiders to the game, as well as a variety of challenges and adventures. The in-game store allows people to make use of the Rubies currency to purchase plates for building and other things. A blog post notes that Android players can buy them from the game's store currently and access to iOS coming in the near future. Any rubies earned or purchased will remain with the player's account during this beta test until the game is fully available.
