Minecraft is already a clever game however it could look better, isn't it? There's a strange way that people can alter things with ease currently, and it's AI. Images from Dall-E are all over the internet , and AI is extremely well-known. It was just a matter of time until Minecraft got the AI treatment.
Mysticat, a group you'll typically find working tanks and shooting friends decided that it was time to see the full potential of Mojang's voxel universe. They use a variety of AI systems to alter the appearance of the game and sound. They use things like Soundraw for music and sound effects, as well as Craiyon for textures. You can follow each AI used in the video. Every tiny change adds to the total.
The end result of all these minor tweaks is frankly, kind of unnerving. Although some blocks, like dirt, look good however, the PNG images of flowers and the terrifying faces of some Minecraft mobs are terrifying. The sound effects are particularly frightening, with each animal sounding like something you'd expect to hear when the world succumbs to a demon invasion.
We believe this is a good indication that people should be designing games, and not AI-based sites. This could also mean that the inevitable machine revolution isn't too far away. However, if Minecraft's Warden ever becomes real and makes it out of the game we're in a huge amount of trouble.
