What are Minecraft Realms and how to Create One?

Everything you must know about joining Minecraft Realms.

You want to learn more about Minecraft Realms. If you've been playing the blocky survival and building game for a while now you may be thinking about creating your own Minecraft Realms server for yourself and your pals. Minecraft Realms is the best method of doing this. This subscription service gives you with your own server and is ideal for anyone who wants to invest more in Minecraft.

The Realms can be used by up to 10 players. Donutmail And as they're private, you don't have to worry about security at all as you are in charge of who is invited. One player only has to sign up to create the Realm, and friends can join for free, making it an excellent choice for kids with a safe environment in which to mess around. Crossplay is available, which means Java players can play alongside Java players.

They're not compatible with the majority of the top Minecraft mods (opens new tab). They are available 24/7 so the host doesn't need to be online to play with other Realm occupants. If Minecraft Realms is something that might be for you, you can find information below on pricing, different levels of subscription, and how to set up your own.

How much does Minecraft Realms cost?

There are two versions of Minecraft Realms, which are essentially a basic version and a premium version. The more expensive version comes with more benefits, as you might think.

The first thing to note is that the basic version costs $3.99 / PS3.29 per month, which allows you to create a world with a maximum of two players plus you, and will be always online. As a rolling month-long subscription, you can cancel at any time if you don't get the benefit out of it that you desire. Mojang provide a free 30 days trial to those who wish to try the subscription first.

What is Realms Plus?

The more expensive version, Realms Plus, costs $7.99 (or PS6.69 and can accommodate up to 10 players in addition to you. This version also provides free access to over 50 marketplace packs, including mini-games as well as maps and skins. Realms Plus comes with a 30-day trial that is no cost.

Once you've selected the Realms subscription you wish to join then it's time to create it. This can be done by opening the game (obviously) and then clicking Play then Create New and finally New Realm. You can then create your realm in Minecraft just as you would in any other Minecraft world. It can take approximately the same amount of time to make your world perfect.

When you're completed, you'll be required to name the realm and choose the size. The invite link will be sent to you in order to invite other players. You can find the invite link in the Player Settings menu when you want to invite more players.

How to change your Minecraft world in Minecraft Realms

It's as easy as pressing a button and replacing a Minecraft Realms world. Which button? The button 'Replace World' in the Realms Menu, of course. This will allow you to upload a previously downloaded realm. You can also click the Realms Backup button. This will bring up all your backups and allow you to restore them. This list is accompanied by timestamps too, so it's very user-friendly and simple to navigate.

There's also an option to Reset Realm button that allows you to create a new realm from scratch to replace the one you have currently.

What's the difference between a realm and servers?

Like most things in life, the major difference is the amount of cash. Minecraft Realms is expensive, as we've mentioned previously. Servers don't. Another differentiator is that Realms are always accessible, regardless of who their creator is. However, Realms have stricter limits on the number of users who can participate.

That's all you need to know about Minecraft Realms. If you're in the middle of talking to Minecraft, you can be in your realm-ement.
