Minecraft ditches Super Duper graphics plan

Minecraft will keep its block-based style for the foreseeable future as plans to upgrade its graphics are cancelled.
Mojang, a Minecraft developer, stated that it had stopped development on the Super Duper graphics package for the game.
The pack would have offered realistic textures for the game lighting effects, and overall better graphics.
The program has been deemed "too technically demanding" so it was discarded.
'Disappointing'
At the 2017 E3 games show, the plan to make Minecraft look more real was revealed. The plan was to create a downloadable add-on that all but did away of the basic, uninspiring appearance of the hugely popular game.
In 2017, Mojang said its work also would produce an add-on to the Xbox version of Minecraft that allows the game to run at a resolution of 4K on the console.
Originally, the Super Duper add-on was due to appear in autumn 2017 but the release date was pushed back to 2018 , before being removed completely in 2019.
It apologized for the technical demands of the update.
It also said: "We realise this is disappointing to some of you. There was a lot of enthusiasm for Super Duper both inside and outside the studio - but unfortunately, we aren't satisfied with how the product performed across devices."
Servers
Mojang said it wasn't yet done with improving the look of Minecraft on various gaming devices and said it would share more information about this work soon.
