Danzig Merch
One metalhead of middle age has bought a worn-out Danzig shirt for $5 at a fleamarket. This isn't the case for all products bearing the skull-like logo of the band, which can be found on everything from socks to kitty-litter. An earlier Noisey article listed all the merchandise with a smoky design that which the Misfits famous logo can be found on, and it's unacceptable.


The Misfits formed in Lodi in New Jersey in 1977. They are often called the first to pioneer horror punk, combining themes and horror-themed images along with punk rock. https://www.danzigmerch.com/ , the singer-songwriter of the Misfits, was the only member who remained constant until 1983. After the dissolution, the Misfits, Danzig went on to form Samhain and then Danzig, releasing a series of albums that moved the band away from punk and towards heavy metal with a grim mood.


In the fall of 2016, for the first time in 33 years, the original band members Danzig, Only, and Doyle returned for two shows at Riot Fest with drummer Dave Lombardo and guitarist Acey Slade. The group has played periodically since then.



After a brief legal battle that involved Danzig claimed that Only should be able to share the profits of the sales of Misfits merchandise, Only and Doyle reached an out-of-court agreement that permits them to use the band's name and logo on any kind of tacky crap. Danzig had sued previously, but the court dismissed this case as the statute of limitations was running out.
