Streaming over half a billion times since their debut, Las Vegas-born brothers Remington Leith, Sebastian Danzig and Emerson Barrett's fashion-art rock has garnered a fervent cult following with their fast-paced, dirty rock'n'roll. The group has returned with their most ambitious and enthralling album to this point, Fever Dream. palayeroyalemerch was recorded by Grammy-nominated Chris Greatti (Yungblud, WILLOW) and brimming with pure emotion and an uncontrollable spirit, the two lead singles Punching Bag and Love In LA are hair-raising and haunting respectively, whilst The Royal Council sees the brothers make witty observations about society that are laced with fun and hooking melodies.
The trio was joined by Scott Lipps, SPIN's Editorial Director Daniel Kohn and host Scott Lipps to discuss the album's new release in the latest episode. The trio traded verbal jabs and laughed when they talked about their desire to channel Eddie Vedder, Pearl Jam's high-wire energy in their performances. In the year 2018, Sebastian Danzig, Remington Leith, and Emerson Barrett formed Palaye Royale in Toronto. They have named themselves Palaye Royale after the dance hall where their grandparents met during the 1960s. The style of the band is strongly influenced by Tim Burton and they call it fashion-art rock.
The band is a favorite among the younger generations. The music they play has been described by some as pop punk with elements of glamour. Their most recent album, Fever Dream, is a great example of their sound. The band performed on tour to promote Fever Dream including their appearance at New York's Webster Hall.
