스윙은 ‘앱 3.70’ 버전 업데이트를 통해 외국인 탑승 기능을 탑재했다고 12일 밝혔다. 이에 따라 한국에 방문하거나 국내에 거주 중인 외국인은 구글이나 애플 아이디만 있으면 스윙 회원 가입이 가능해졌다. 스윙의 PM 기기를 이용하려면 여권이나 국제면허증으로 본인 인증만 완료하면 된다.
스윙은 이번 앱 업데이트를 통해 스플래시 로딩, 반납사진 전송 등 앱 속도를 크게 개선하고 직장인의 이동 편의성 지원을 위해 법인카드 등록기능도 추가했다. 김형산 더스윙 대표는 “전 세계 어느 곳이던 스윙이 진출할 수 있는 여력을 마련해 놓았고, 이용자 지향적인 앱 서비스를 계속해서 개발하는 가운데 스윙의 성장세는 더 높아질 것”라며 “스윙은 아시아에서 가장 많은 10만 대의 PM 기기를 보유 및 운영 중이며 지난해 일본에 이어 유럽, 중앙아시아 등에서 진출 관련 러브콜을 받고 있다”고 밝혔다.
