The meta-analysis did not find any evidence of bias in publication.

Asbestos

Asbestos is an amorphous mineral that is used in a variety of industrial products. Its resistance to fire, heat and corrosion is what made it a top choice for railroad locomotives and other equipment. Asbestos poses a threat to workers who handle it. When asbestos fibers are exposed, they break down into microscopic strands which can then become airborne. They can then be breathed in and then lodge in the lungs of a person.
