-The imitation Game
The imitation game is a movie based on WW II a mathematician, Alan Turning tries to crack a supposedly uncrackable code on a machine communicator from the Nazi's called Enigma with the help of his fellow friends/other mathematicians. This movie shows subcultures from punks/bullies harassing geek/nerds, as the bullies are more sociable than the nerds with little communication skills.

[Breaking an unbreakable code]
What they are doing is "break an unbreakable nazi code and win the war" (Alan Tuning) explaining what Clark and the new recruit has to do. The Enigma has 159,000,000,000,000,000,000 possible settings to check for one message, they have 10 people checking 1 setting each minute for 24 hours every day of every week, it would take 20million years to break enigma, they 5 mathematicians have to solve 20million years of work in just 18 hours because Enigma changes at midnight and the intercoms intercept Nazi's messages 6am every morning.

[CARROTS & PEAS]
Alan Turning is a nerd with mental disorders with an intelligent brain as an example of this is Alan obsessively separates the carrots from the peas, while a bully sees him doing his casual routine separating the food by colour, the bully pours carrots and peas all over him including the table for the satisfaction. This shows that certain cultures often don't mix well as they both have different satisfactions and thoughts from each other.

[Lunch]
Alan also isolated from the other mathematicians by sitting alone in the corner working on his designs of his tuning machine/(which we now call computers but he calls Christopher), Alan gets asked figuratively/metaphorically to have lunch with the other mathematicians "we are going to get some lunch" and Alan interpreting with his communication skills interprets Peter (one of the fellow mathematicians) was just telling him they were having lunch because he doesn't understand how slangs, phrases, etc work.

[Give a lie]
Finally breaking Enigma, the team discovers that there's going to be an attack on a British convoy and think they can save their lives but Alan stops them from doing so and explains that if they were to save them the Germans would have high suspicions on how the British knew there would be a surprise attack and they would stop all communications and changed the settings on Enigma by the weekend.

-Diary Of A Wimpy Kid (Dog Days)
Greg Heffley (Zachary Gordon) an unpopular school boy just wants to be noticed by his crush BLAH BLAH but she's a popular girl and thinks he has no chances of getting her unless becoming cool.

[Last day of school]
Greg thinking it was the last day of school and thinking all the cool kids would not bring books and not bother to study doesn't bring his books, he then realises everyone in class but him has a book so he is forced to share the book with a classmate that is unhygienic. Sitting with the classmate he tries to talk to his crush to get her number and it fails by not getting the last digits.

[Holly's family]
Holly's family is a rich family and she always dresses to fit in with the popular group and has social skills as for Greg he is exact opposite of that. Her family is part of a rich summer club while Greg's family is a total embarrassment for him as his brother (Rodrick) visits him at school to give out posters of his small band as Holly's older sister (Heather) visit Rodrick has had a thing for Heather since his junior years.

[Greg subculture]
Greg is a classic definition of a gamer, nerd, and a wannabe. His goal for the holidays is to spend hours on his console hoping to finish his game and his other goal are to meet up with Holly but the third and best is to do both of them while playing his game and hang out with Holly.

[Greg trying to be a grown up]
Greg trying to be a grown up takes his best friend (only friend) called Rowley to the scariest grown up rides at the theme park but Rowley still has a mind of a child is terrified of the ride and starts to cry and Greg loved it while Rowley's parents are disappointed in Rowley for riding them after being told not to. Greg's dad being a office worker he tells Greg to get a job in the summer holidays and Greg trying to act as a grown up he pretends he works at the Club that Holly works and pretends to be Rowley as he uses his membership. Greg constantly trying to act like a grown up has made him into a trouble maker.

The two of the protagonist are truly without a doubt are weeks with no social skills they both show that they can't fit in the groups without the help of their best friends Miss Clark and Holly & Rowley. They both are trying to achieve something near impossible but still have high hopes for it then by the end of the movie they achieve their very goal at the end.
