In September, WAKAAN Music Festival returns to Mulberry Mountain after a successful first year. With a roster that is growing with phenomenal artists and boundary-pushing sound, this is a festival you won't want to be missing.
There's nothing more stimulating a feeling of belonging for bassists more than an live performance. It's a chance to connect and disconnect, to share your life-long memories and let the music rule. This is why few events are more suited to the occasion than Wakaan Music Festival, which was designed to bring bassheads together from around the world.
The festival was sold-out the first year. Ten thousand people came to Mulberry Mountain for an authentic experience of awe. The MP3 MAG team has traveled close and far for festivals and we've put together the necessary items you'll need for WAKAAN.

The label was established in 2015 by Martin Staaf, better known as Liquid Stranger, the label has come to embody more than an independent record label. Wakaan invests in artists that are pushing the boundaries of music and sound and is free of convention or form.
Wakaan Merch 's a varied collection of wubs that are wompy, with names like Space Jesus, LSDREAM and Minnesota. Included are some of the most prolific producers of the bass music scene, such as Peekaboo or LSDream. Despite their wildly different styles, the common thread is a unified drive to make music that lifts the listener into a contemplative state or swivels your neck up during a breakneck blast.
At its heart, the team is small. Loper acts as the visionary of the big picture, and concentrates on branding and marketing while Chloe handles everything from A&R and daily operations. Meanwhile, Kyndal is taking on an active role since joining the team in recent times to help with the day-to-day chores and support creative projects. The success of the label is because of the team's fluid structure, and the enthusiasm of the team members for the music industry can be felt in every release.
