The Selangor government in Malaysia has announced plans to evaluation the decision to cancel the coverage of appointing contract civil servants who've served for more than 15 years to everlasting positions. Selangor Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari said the matter can be discussed through the state government meeting this week, with the choice to be announced by the state secretary.
“ Components will verify back with the state government assembly determination to find out what policies that have been thought-about and implemented…wait for the state authorities management beneath the State Secretary to make a press release soon. Allow me to get the verification first,” Amirudin Shari said after launching the Selangor Education Strategic Plan (Selestari) 2023-2030 and Yayasan Selangor’s new emblem.
The Congress of Unions of Employees within the Public and Civil Services (Cuepacs) had earlier expressed remorse on the Selangor government’s decision to cancel the policy, describing the transfer as drastic and denying the contribution of presidency contract employees.
Regarding Selestari 2023-2030, Amirudin Shari, who can be the Gombak MP, said the launch highlights Yayasan Selangor’s position as the principle establishment overseeing schooling growth in the state. “Moving ahead, the planning involving primary, secondary and better schooling, in addition to TVET (Technical and Vocational Education and Training), might be maintained and monitored by Yayasan Selangor.”
