《奇恒》是说明异常疾病的。请允许我谈谈其中最重要的道理，《五色》、《脉变》、《揆度》虽然所指不同，但道理只有一个，就是观察色脉之间有无神气。人体神机的运转是不回折的，若回折就不能运转，人也就失去了生生之机！这个道理是极其重要的，色脉的诊察虽然浅近，而微妙之处却在于察神机。把它记录在玉版上，以便与《玉机真脏论》参合应用。
面色的变化，表现在上下左右不同的部位，应分别审察其主病的要领。 출장 ，说明病情尚轻，可用五谷汤液调治，十天可以治愈；若病色深的，说明病情较重，须用药剂治疗，二十一天可以治愈；若病色过深的，说明病情更重，必须用药酒治疗，一百天才能治愈；若面色枯槁不泽、颜面瘦削，为不治之症，到一百天就要死亡。若脉象短促而阳气虚脱的，是死证；温热病而正气极虚的，也是死证。
