Write a note in thGods of Egypt, spoilers ahead!
A long time ago in the lands of Egypt,
Gods lived together with Men in a paradise that they created
The kingdom was divided by two brother,
Osiris who ruled the bountiful lands in the Niles,
and Set, who was isolated in the desserts by bitterness and jealousy
When the time came for Osiris to crown his own son Horus as the new king,
the brother's bonds are tested along side the fate of Egypt
On the day of the coronation,
Horus admires himself in the mirror while donning his armor,
but his lover Hathor mocks him for being so unprepared
The deity loves the goddess tremendously,
and gave her the bracelet of 42 stars,
which protects her from the monsters that pursue her tirelessly
They go to the ceremony where all the Gods have gathered
and the people all celebrate as they offers their gifts
Osiris tells the worshippers that everyone is equal regardless of the value of their offerings,
as they all shall have a place in the afterlife
He calls out his son Horus, the God of the air
and plans to crown him to be the next ruler of Egypt
However, their ceremony is quickly interrupted
when the king's brother appears from the crowds
He challenges Osiris to a fight for the crown
and stabs his brother in the stomach in front of everyone
Set declares himself as the new ruler,
and plans to change the rule about the afterlife,
where now a significant offering is required
Seeing his father die in his arms,
Horus quickly takes up the weapon and begins fighting his uncle,
trying to take vengeance on the killer
However, The deity's emotions cause him to lose the fight quickly
as he gets knocked to the floor
In a fit of rage, Horus transforms into his true form,
prompting Set to do the same thing,
and the two launches at each other as they fight in the air
Their furious battle topples the buildings nearby,
causing all the people to run to for their lives
The gods continue to fight each other,
eventually landing back into the buildings
Set orders the army to use the shields
and reflect beams of light onto Horus,
blinding him in the process
He takes this opportunity and strikes his nephew continuously,
landing numerous hits and sending Horus flying backwards
Set walks towards his nephew,
who's defeated on the ground,
and affirms that Horus does not deserve to be king
He grabs onto the deity's eyes and proceeds to rip them out,
causing the god to scream in agony as everyone looks helplessly
Before Set can kill his nephew,
Hathor steps out and promises to please him in exchange for her lover's live
After Set becomes the new king of Egypt,
the people are put into slavery
and all the Gods that stood against him were killed one by one
A young man who calls himself Bek refuses to be enslaved
and was able to escape his masters
He continues into the city and arrives in front of a palace,
where his lover Zaya is held captive as a slave by the head architect working for Set
Bek surprises her after the woman's master has left,
and plans to steal her away,
but Zaya tells him that it won't do anything as the entire country is suffering
She wants her lover to steal the eyes of Horus away from Set,
as the woman believe that her God is the only one who can free the people of Egypt
Zaya shows Bek the architect's library,
and the man find a drawing of Set's pyramid,
where he hides the origins of his powers
The woman also shows her lover the plans for the vault,
where the architect put numerous traps to stop any person from stealing the treasures inside
At night, Bek follows the treasure wagons from the roof top
and manages to jump into the piles of gold inside the cart
The large amounts of treasures are deposited inside a secret tunnel,
and Bek eventually arrives inside a chamber underground,
right in front of the eye of Horus
The traps guarding the treasures prove to be extremely dangerous
as any mistake would cause the man to die in a very unpleasant way
He makes it to the final bridge
but it begins collapsing quickly,
forcing the man to run desperately
and jump towards the magical eye,
grabbing it in the last moment
Bek rushes back to his girlfriend with the good news,
but notices something wrong as she apologizes
Zaya's master discovered their plan to steal from his God
and surrounds Bek with soldiers in order to capture the thief
However, Bek is able to react quickly
and uses the eye to blind the enemies,
giving him a chance to escape with the girl
He takes the horses and runs away from the castle,
while showing his lover the treasure that he stole
Their celebration is cut short when Zaya gets hit by an arrow right in the chest,
which causes the girl to die in front of the man
With no other choice, Bek quickly goes to a temple that Horus resides in
and enters the dark palace,
trying to ask the deity for help in saving his girlfriend
Horus feels the presence of the eye
and demands Bek to give it back immediately,
but the man refuses unless the god can resurrect Zaya
With no other choice, Horus begins chanting on the girl's body
and brings out Anubis,
who takes the woman's soul into the underworld
Bek becomes furious
after seeing that Horus has essentially done the opposite of saving Zaya,
but gets captured by the deity and forced to give back the eye
After Horus regains the ability to see,
he plan to kill the man for his earlier defiance,
but stops, after learning that the mortal has seen the way into Set's pyramid
Horus decides to use the man's help,
and promises to bring back the girl if he becomes the king of Egypt once again
At the same time, Set has found out that the eye was taken from his vault,
and blames the architect for his incompetence,
The deity immediately sends out his right hand man to capture the mortal responsible for the theft
Meanwhile, Bek has arrived on top of a mountain with Horus,
where he preys to his grandfather Ra, the sun god,
in order to regains the ability of flight temporarily
Horus transforms once again
and flies away from Earth,
eventually arriving at a gigantic spaceship on top of the world
They see that the sun god Ra is battling against a massive demon called Apophis,
who desires to consume all creations
The elder deity fires numerous attacks at the large monster,
forcing it to alter it's course away from the planet
Ra returns to his grandson
and reveals that he knows exactly why Horus has come,
but refuses to be personally involved in their conflicts
He views all lives to be equal since they are all his creations,
but he allows Horus to take the magical water from the ship
that's capable of quenching set's power from inside the pyramid
The two flies back to earth
and crash lands on the ground,
but before they can recover,
they are quickly attacked by Set's minions on the waterfall
Horus is able to fight them easily even without the access to his full power,
and begins killing them one by one using his spear
However, one of the scouts was able to survive the attack
and goes back to his master
he tells the deity about their enemy's location
and also that Horus has promised the mortal to revive the woman,
which seems to amuse the god as he knows that this is not possible
Set tells the lieutenants in his army to go after his nephew this time
and orders them to kill the mortal as well
At the same time, Hathor is secretly watching over her lover
and sees that Horus is no longer in his father's temple,
But her disloyalty is found out by Set who spies on her from behind
He rushes in to kill her for the betrayal,
but Hathor takes off her bracelet
and is quickly taken away by numerous demons
She reappears away from danger after putting on the bracelet,
and begins to look for Horus,
knowing that he's the only ally that she has left
Meanwhile, Bek notices a sand storm coming from behind
which turns out to be Set's hunters riding on top of their gigantic serpents
The two begins running away immediately
as Horus doesn't have enough power to fight off their pursuers
The giant snakes chase after them,
destroying everything behind,
while the two desperately run for their lives
The monsters begin closing in as they spit fire towards the main characters,
forcing them to hide behind the statue,
and crawl inside the trenches
Horus tries attacking the black serpent using his spear,
and manages to trap the monster temporarily by piercing it's jaw,
but the hunter attacks him furiously,
causing him to retreat into the channels
The deity realizes that they can't hide forever,
and tells Bek to lure one of the snakes away,
while he strikes from behind
The man runs towards the temple
and catches the hunter's attention,
causing the white snake to chase closely behind while spitting fire
Horus is able to catch up to the monster
and climbs onto its back,
ambushing the hunter by tying her to the beast
The snake charges towards the cliff
and falls from the height,
while Horus manages to barely escape
The two runs away from the collapsing building just in time,
but only to see that Hathor has found their location
The woman walks towards the giant snake without fear
as the hunter order the monster to burn her
Surprisingly, the creature refuses to listen
as it becomes hypnotized by the goddess
Hathor commands the monster to burn himself,
and the creature begins spitting fire on his body,
killing his master as well
Horus reveals to Hathor that he plans to enter Set's pyramid
and destroy his power by quenching the dessert's fire
The goddess tells him that the plan won't work
as the evil deity has placed a sphinx inside the building to fight against the invaders
The only way to pass without dying is to answer the creature's riddle,
which Horus realizes that only Thoth, the god of wisdom is able to do
They venture through the forest
and eventually arrive inside the roots of a giant tree
where they see numerous clones of the deity working all together
Horous wants the god of wisdom to help them defeat the Sphinx,
but the deity refuses,
claiming that his work is far more important than solving some riddle
However, Bek begins using the god's vanity against him
by claiming that's he's too afraid of getting the answer wrong
Not willing to risk losing his Ego,
the deity agrees to accept the challenge,
while Horus compliments Bek for his quick thinking
The group goes through the dessert
and arrives in front of a pyramid,
where all the stones are shifting at the same time
Luckily, Bek is able to remember the blue prints from the library
and chooses the right opening,
entering into the magical building
He quickly runs towards the center
while the sands continue to move under his feet,
and the man is able to stop the chaos by turning the wheel
They venture deeper into the structure
and reach a tunnel
where a giant monster begins forming from the ground
The creature test the group by asking a complicated riddle,
but the god of wisdom is able to answer immediately
However, it turns out that his response was incorrect
which causes the sphinx to become hostile,
knocking Horus to the walls
The deity tries to answer multiple times,
while the creature becomes more aggressive,
but he eventually lands the correct response
and forces the monster to retreat
They approach the well to the center of the earth,
planning to temper set's power using the magical water,
but are quickly pinned down by a trap that separates the team
Set appears from behind
and takes the brain from the god of wisdom,
while everyone watches hopelessly
Bek tries to pour the water into the well,
but the deity stops him,
telling the man that Horus has lied to him about bringing Zaya back,
as no one has the power to do something like that
Bek hesitates after realizing he was betrayed,
and the deity takes the water from the man,
pouring it to the ground
Set laughs at their futile efforts
and walks away,
sending the entire building crashing down towards them
Luckily, Horus is able to break free in the last moment,
and protects everyone from the falling debris
They were all able to survive,
but the mortal becomes extremely angry at Horus for deceiving him using false promises
Hathor sees this
and tries to make amends by taking off her bracelet
and giving it to Bek,
so that he may have a treasure for Zaya to pass through the gates of the after life
Horus tries to stop his lover,
but she gives him a final kiss
and gets taken away by the demons
Seeing Hathor sacrificing herself,
Horus laments on the ground,
but eventually gives the bracelet to Bek,
so that he may save his girlfriend's soul
Before Zaya is judged at the final gates,
Bek appears just in time and reunites with his lover,
planning to save her from being destroyed forever
At the same time, Set combines all the powers he took from the other gods onto himself,
giving him wings and making him nearly indestructible
The deity goes to his grandfather
and reveals his plan to the old man
Set desires to become immortal
and the only way to accomplish that is to destroy the afterlife itself
by making Apophis devour the entire realm
Ra tries to stop his son by firing a devastating blast using the spear,
but Set manages to to survive after combining the powers from all the Gods
The deity stabs the old man in the stomach
and takes the spear,
blasting Ra using his own attack
and sending him into space
Set goes back to the city
and begins luring the giant creature onto Earth,
making it devour everything on its path
Meanwhile, Bek notices that the gate of the afterlife is being disturbed
while Anubis tries desperately to save the realm using his powers
Zaya tells her lover to go back to Horus
as he's the only one who has the power to defeat Set
and restore order to world
The young man reappears near the deity
and the two decides that they must go to Set before everything is destroyed
Luckily, a flying carriage appears in front of them,
prepared by the gods who defy the evil deity,
and they are able to travel quickly towards their enemy
At the same time, Set has returned with the spear of Ra,
and he lures Apophis towards the Niles,
allowing the monster to devour everything all the path
Horus lands on the pyramid
and tries to attack his uncle,
but Set was able to counter immediately
The two fights furiously as they exchange blows,
but Set is able to gain the upper hand
and eventually knocks Horus onto the ground
Before Set can destroy his nephew,
Bek appears from behin
d and stops him using a rope
This angers the deity as he transforms
and charges at the man knocking him towards the wall
However, Bek is able to steal the eye of Horus as he gets tossed to the roof
The man throws the item towards Horus so that he may regain his power,
but begins falling at the same time
The deity sees this and chooses to save his friend,
as they both fall from the towering building towards the ground
Surprisingly, Horus manages to transform at the last moment
and catches the man before he falls to his death
Bek is amazed that the deity regained his power without the eye,
but Horus realized that he wasn't weak because of the missing eye,
but rather his heart was never in the right place
Horus transforms
and flies towards Set,
and the gods begin to fighting furiously in the air
Set tries to attack Horus using the spear,
but fails to land any hits on his nephew
The two enters the towering building,
causing immense damage on the structure
Horus manages to ambush the enemy from behind,
knocking set towards the walls
and eventually breaking off his wings,
causing him to drop towards the ground as the building collapses from above
When the dust settles,
Set is gravely wounded by the fall
as Horus approaches him from behind
and kills him using the spear of Ra
The deity flies towards his grandfather who's floating in space,
and revives him by giving him the spear
The old man immediately goes towards the monster
and shoots continuously at its body,
forcing Apophis to turn away from his creations
and run away from the earth
Horus returns to the city
and sees that one of his followers has found his other eye,
allowing him to finally regain his true self
He walks towards Bek,
only to see that the man has died already from the previous wounds
Horus carries him towards Zaya,
placing their bodies together
and allowing them to finally rest
However, Ra appears in the last moment to thank his grandson
and fulfills the deity's wish by reviving the lovers
Bek wakes up along side his lover Zaya,
and the two share a kiss in their celebration
Horus finally gets crowned
and becomes the new king of Egypt, a
nd he changes the rule regarding the afterlife,
telling the people that they won't be judged by treasures that they bring,
but rather by the good deeds that they did in their life time
After the coronation, Bek gives Horus the bracelet from Hathor
and the deity quickly transforms and flies off,
rushing to save his lover
and be united with her at last
