齿为骨之余，肾主骨，所以牙齿 疼痛多属肾阴不足，虚火上炎。年老 体虚、素体票賦不足或房劳纵欲过度 等，均可导致本病。太溪穴位于内踝 与跟腱之间的凹陷中，别名吕细，是 肾的原穴，有补肾阴、降虚火之功，
故虚火牙痛用之最宜。如《通玄指要 賦》说：“牙齿痛，吕细堪治。”针刺 时，一般多取双侧用补法D笔者发 现，肾虚病人太溪穴处外观多呈凹陷，按之虚软.针后针孔处 也呈凹陷，肾虚越厉害，针孔凹陷的程度就越明显，时间就越
长；随着肾气的恢复，针孔凹陷的程度和时间也随之减轻和缩
短，甚至消失。
此外，笔者还发现，不少虚火牙痛是酉时（下午5〜7点） 发作或加重，可于发作前针太溪，往往针后牙痛即不再发作， 继针数次，可不复发，详 见第二章吋间性病疲的一 针疗法。
