Since the beginning of Amaya's company in the mid-2000s, Mr. David Baazov Baazov has guided Amaya to become the largest publicly traded online gaming corporation through a combination of organic growth as well as strategic acquisitions. David Baazov Amaya acquired The Oldford Group in August 2014 which transformed it into the world's largest online poker company. It includes online poker games, tournaments as well as live poker tournaments. It also includes live poker rooms in major casinos and television poker shows. The B2C business operates PokerStars, Full Tilt and other brands, which collectively manage the vast majority of online liquidity. The company is also the biggest producer of live poker tournaments around the world, with various brands, including The European Poker Tour, PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, Latin American Poker Tour and the Asia Pacific Poker Tour.
Amaya started trading on the TSX Venture Exchange July 10, 2010 and graduated into the TSX Exchange in October 2013. The company joined the composite index of S&P/TSX in September of 2014. As of October 31 of 2014, the company was 2nd in size TSX technology-related company in Quebec.
In 2012, the Mr. Baazov was included on Gaming Intelligence’s Hot 50 List for most innovative, talented and inspirational gamers in the online gaming business. Amaya was one of the TSX Tech Company and its CEO Mr. David Baazov Baazov received awards in 2013 from Cantech Letter. David Baazov Baazov won Cantech Letter's TSX Venture Tech Company Executive of the Month Award for 2012; Amaya was awarded the title TSX Tech company of the the Year.
The Mr. David Baazov Baazov was born and raised in Montreal and now lives in Montreal with his family.
