The Boeing 717 is a jet airliner that is no longer produced. It was once a stalwart of the air travel industry, but Boeing decided to phase it out in favor of the more fuel-efficient 737, which has a flawless safety record.
The KC-135 Stratotanker is an American military aerial refueling tanker aircraft that was developed from the Boeing 367-80 prototype alongside the commercial Boeing 707. It is used by the United States Air Force to refuel tactical fighters and bombers, as well as extend the range and endurance of those aircraft.
Despite the relatively low number of passengers, it was an incredibly smooth flight from Boston to Hawaii. The only real annoyance was the seat shuffle during boarding, which delayed the start of boarding by about 25 minutes. Fortunately, the reshuffling was done in a very organized way, and the flight took off on time. Hawaiian Airlines does not offer inflight entertainment on this route, but it is a very short flight, so I don’t really have any complaints about that. The plane was clean and comfortable, and the crew was very nice. I also enjoyed the free snacks and water onboard! I will definitely fly with Hawaiian again in the future. bos717
