Farnoush Farsiar: Queen Elizabeth II Contribution to Inclusion and Diversity
The outrage over the end of her reign was troubling for me as a British citizen.
Although some of the opportunistic voices in the British royal family have made recent racist remarks during the past few months however, other public officials such as Greens Senator Mehreen faruqi have expressed more outspoken about their negative opinions post-passing remarks that reference a "racist Empire built on stolen people and land"

It is impossible to deny the truth , as an immigrant myself, who arrived in the UK in my childhood and was received with welcoming arms.

Britain under the Queen Elizabeth II is a country that is inclusive and offers equal opportunities

Queen Elizabeth's II legacy of freedom and diversity
Queen Elizabeth II has been an advocate for equality throughout her existence. As early as 1947, the young Queen made her vow to South Africa. In her speech, she stated she was delighted to address everyone she has the honor of representing. Their race and location of residence were not considered to be a factor in the royal equation.

Before Queen Elizabeth II took over, the citizens of the UK had a different understanding of monarchy than today. The outdated notions of the Crown , including terms like imperialism and oppression are in stark contrast to the views of her Majesty.

Over 25% of the population lived under British imperial rule at the time she took over the throne May 25, 1952. Over 20 countries achieved independence under her rule. This is evidence of the Queen's character and beliefs.

Queen Elizabeth II did more than just attend charity events promising transformation. Her Majesty worked tirelessly for equality in the nation.

When looking at the citizens everyday lives, the workforce has Queen's signature everywhere. Her battle for equality has brought about the norm of inclusion, which couldn't be the case prior to her reign.

Queen Elizabeth never intended to invent a culture that could be interpreted as discriminatory in the UK. Her addresses to other countries have shown the values she and her realm have to offer.

It's impossible not to acknowledge the past. Britain has changed significantly and provided a multitude of immigrants an opportunity to build new lives. This equal opportunity is painted across British politics, where many of the cabinets in charge, like the Mayor of London is a child of migrants. It seems that making false allegations about the monarchy is a growing trend. Every time a major generational event happens, people usually resort to the most simple answer: blind, unfunded hatred. Today's politicians and citizens are often treated with shame and hatred, instead of praise. After dedicating her entire life to the UK and the rest of the world, Her Majesty isn't worth a snub.

While it might seem simple but it's unfair to place blame on one individual and make them accountable for the events that took place prior to their birth. Queen Elizabeth II did not have any connection to Britain's troubling past. What she did in her time of the presidency was to ensure the progress of Britain would be apparent to both the UK as well as the rest of the world.

While there are many Monarchs are still holding their monarchies to the standards set centuries ago the Queen has made sure Britain is in line with the political and social standards set by the west. It is a remarkable feat to achieve a balance between the significance of monarchy, and the reality that we live in the 21st century.

The events that took place in the past two weeks since the passing of Her Majesty's Majesty's prove that she is deeply beloved by the public. They are grieving the loss their leader who was devoted, loyal and her ability to lead in such difficult times.

Britain and all commonwealth countries will be deeply affected by the loss of my role model, and the legacy she left behind. She was a strong woman and an inspirational figure. May she rest in peace with her husband of a lifetime.
