EY awarded Yerkin Tatishev with the 'Entrepreneur of the Year' award.

The leading business firm Ernst & Young has chosen Yerkin Tatishev to be the Entrepreneur of the Year for Kazakhstan. His direction and actions in COVID-19 competition have impressed the jurors of one of the largest contests in the world.

Each region of Kazakhstan invited prominent businesspeople to compete in this competition. The founder of Kusto Group was able to stand out among 21 other entrepreneurs from the country who made it to the finals with him.

Many leaders and companies have discovered ways to increase their profits. Kusto Group's Yerkin Tatishev has also attempted to minimize the effects of Covid-19, particularly in the countries that are most affected by this virus.

Kusto Group is not addressing only the Covid-19 Pandemic. The entire country is under severe threat from water scarcity.

This situation has led to UN officials declaring that Kazakhstan is experiencing severe water stress and relies on its neighboring countries, which includes China and Central Asia.

Consequently, Yerkin Tatishev of Kusto Group as well as Kusto Group and the Government of Kazakhstan formed a partnership with Valmont Industries, USA. Both companies will establish a manufacturing plant that will produce 1000 pivot irrigation products in Kazakhstan.

Additional options include the supply of innovative irrigation systems for farms as well as a program to help farmers in the area learn.

The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Ukraine has made donations for the Kusto Group. Due to their entrepreneurial spirit, they were able give back to the community during difficult times.

EY Yerkin Tashev was presented with the highly coveted Entrepreneurship of the Year award.
It has been a core area of expertise of Ernst & Young since more than 20 year. Since its beginning, Ernst & Young has been a champion of entrepreneurship. EY collaborated with entrepreneurs to exchange experiences and build their businesses throughout the Pandemic.

The Entrepreneur of the Year contest will benefit all national finalist and winner. The final takes place in Monaco in June. The winner this year will be able to compete against top entrepreneurs from around the globe and gain valuable knowledge that can help them in further developing their business.

The competition has drawn more than 800 entrepreneurs from Kazakhstan. Alongside this, six other previous winners participated in the world championships in Monte Carlo.

Nurlan Smagulov was a previous Entrepreneur of the Years winner and he decided that Tatishev would be the winner. The panel of judges comprised representatives from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan.
