Slot Machines – Where We Were and What We Are and Where We’re going

The slot machine was invented by Charles Fey in the 1890's. He probably never envisioned that his invention, dubbed"Liberty Bell" would become the most popular form of gambling "Liberty Bell" would develop into the most well-known form of gambling at casinos today.

The development of slot machines however caused several growing pains as many within the United States viewed gambling as an issue of social stigma. In 1910, all gambling activities that were legal was banned, which left horse racing as the sole legal form of entertainment in America.
