The Professional Gambler
Let me begin by describing the purpose of this article. The Professional Gambler is not the flashy player that you see creating a lot of noise and calling attention to himself. He, or she, will not be the one that is making huge high-roller bets. The true professional is an eloquent, serious calm player. Professional gamblers know that gambling is something that is a business. Profitable business.

Professional gamblers never "go out to enjoy a whole day (or night) of gambling." The professional would not assume that he or she would play all night. A professional usually makes a decision within 30 minutes whether they will continue playing or stop. When a professional gambler is going to play, it's solely to succeed, not to amuse himself and others. This is work. It's work. It's impossible to know the time it takes for one to win enough or lose enough. However, an experienced player will recognize these limits and have the discipline and ability to take action in a manner that is appropriate.

There are times when you may have been playing with a professional. You probably will not be able to recall it. There's nothing to call attention to the professional player except for the fact that he is ahead, and then stops! The player doesn't just play because he or they are "out to have a night out of gambling." Professional gamblers prefer to see movies or shows in order to be entertained. Gambling is not an "activity" like so many people think of it. You visit Vegas or Atlantic City and you gamble all the night. That is what the avid gamblers do. They find it very easy to rationalize...something like this; "Well I played all night and it only cost me $200. It's not too bad for the night with no cost drinks." It's called the tourist mindset. There are winners who won a lot of money in Vegas. check it out . However, more likely than not, you hear the all too familiar account that goes something like this:
"I had a total of 3 or 4 hundred dollars, but I lost it all back." You'll never hear a professional make an assertion like that. If browse this site is to make a profit, then they will recognize that 3 to 4 hundred is an extremely healthy profit that will be long gone.

Professional gamblers are known as guerrilla fighters. They're not here to run a marathon. Professionals are in the game to make a profit. It's not that long to win or lose, and certainly not every day. It is possible to catch a winning streak, however, the professional will recognize the streak and keep riding up to the very conclusion. Most of the time however, the professional's betting will only last enough to make the day profit or lose the maximum. If a professional is able to win big the odds are not that the casino will see that money ever again. The professional is way too smart to give the casino that chance.


The professional is too intelligent to believe that there is any system that can always beat casinos, no matter which game they are playing. Strategies and betting strategies that have been tested will be used by professional gamblers to increase their chances of winning. Few decisions are likely to be taken at the moment of the game. Most of the time, professional's decisions are taken before they even approach the game. They'll stick to their fundamental strategies and betting methods or advancements. It is unlikely to see a pro ever "chase his money." Pros can and will accept occasional losses. It's a fact of life. technology occurs. There will be occasions where you make zero money or even lose money, if you take into account travel costs... Instead, the professional gambler is able to see the totality of his play. It's not about "how much did you win or lose today?" instead, it is more of, "how much am I ahead of the rest of the next month or the entire year?"

Professional players in poker are one of the subjects I'd like to discuss. They're in a class by themselves! In reality, some poker players don't consider themselves to be gamblers. They argue that playing poker is a game of ability and they are very skillful. The professional poker player isn't exactly the same as the person I described in the previous paragraph.
