Was very hot when we landed in Saudi Arabia, you could see the heat in the air rising off the desert,
140 degrees on the tarmack, lived in tents, Aljubal, then moved to Tanijib
Ate in the mess tent where they prepared food, most ate MRE's, dishes have to be washed in between meals, people can get sick, about 6000 people stationed at one camp, one day 60% came day with dysentary, after eating lettuce, people got sick and they had been excited to have fresh veggies. Steve Martin, comedian, was there. He is a vegetarian, ate the lettuce and he got sick from eating lettuce.
