Minecraft is now over 10 years old. Mojang launched Minecraft Classic in 2019 to mark its 10th birthday. It lets you play Minecraft using your browser. Minecraft Classic doesn't require you to download anything.
Minecraft Classic has been available for many years. However, Minecraft Classic was previously only available on Windows, Mac, and Linux and required Java. It's now available to all at no cost on the Minecraft Classic website.
How to Play Minecraft Free in Your Browser
Simply point your web browser to the Minecraft Classic website to play Minecraft Classic. It will instantly begin creating a level. Cloud Once your game is generated you will receive an individual link that you can give to your friends.
You can invite friends to join in the fun however it is not required. Simply send the link via email or your preferred messaging application. Then, just pick your username and click the Start button to play Minecraft in your browser.
The controls are easy to use: Left-click the mouse to place blocks or mine them, and right-click to switch between them. Otherwise, it's the standard WASD controls for moving forward left, back and right, as well as other keyboard controls that are simple to use.
You can press the Escape button at any time to open the Game Menu. Here, you can generate an entirely new level or copy the link from the current one. Clicking Options lets you turn various settings on or off and remind yourself of the controls.
What you can and can't do in Minecraft
Minecraft Classic, as the name suggests is not the Minecraft of 2022. It's the game that existed in 2009. You'll have to endure an unintuitive user interface, 32 blocks to build with and more bugs than your typical rainforest.
Minecraft Classic allows you to only play in Creative mode. There is no Survival mode with enemies to battle off. There's also no way to save your game. As mentioned above, you can invite up to nine people to join in your game. It's much more enjoyable to play Minecraft with your friends.
