Taurus adalah satu dari rasi bintang zodiak. Taurus dilambangkan dengan kerbau. Rasi ini terletak antara Aries di sebelah barat dan Gemini di sebelah timur, di sebelah utara terdapat Perseus dan Auriga, di sebelah barat daya terdapat Orion, dan di sebelah tenggara terdapat Eridanus dan Cetus. Taurus memiliki genitif tauri. Tatanan rasi bintang Taurus membentuk suatu tatanan yang tampak menyerupai bentuk Kerbau bertanduk ataupun banteng, hal ini lah yang menyebabkan kerbau banteng menjadi simbolisme dari rasi bintang Taurus ataupun zodiak Taurus itu sendiri. Rasi Bintang Taurus memiliki Asensio rekta 4jam 42menit 8 detik, dengan deklinasi +14° 52′ 20″. Taurus masuk kedalam keluarga Zodiak dengan kuadran NQ1 . Luas rasi bintang Taurus adalah 797,249 derajat persegi (ke-17) dengan jumlah bintang berplanet 3, bintang terang 4, bintang terdekat 2. Bintang paling terang dari rasi bintang taurus adalah Aldebaran (α Tau) (0.9m). Bintang paling dekat adalah 10 Tau (44.7 ly, pc) dengan dua buah objek Messier. Rasi yang berbatasan : Auriga, Perseus, Aries, Cetus, Eridanus, Orion, Gemini. Rasi ini Dapat dilihat antara 90° LU dan 65° LS. Tampak paling jelas pada pukul 21.00 selama bulan Januari.
